Weslow's Reach (Mu-Arishi)

The afternoon sun shines brightly over the wrecked, bloodied, butchered town of Weslow's Reach, following the attack by an overconfident demon.

More flashes of light and the crackling of air signifies the arrival of more members of the Order of Astra, Shieldkeepers, and Silent Sect members teleporting in to reinforce the position... even though the fight has already been won.

Of course, not without casualties.

Luex had been one of the few elites that engaged the demon directly and he had barely needed most of his energy. Looking back on the casualties though, things went better than he expected. They only took light casualties due to the complete lack of any organization in the demon's ranks as well as decent training for most of the enemy soldiers. Seems like turning random townspeople into a vampire army didn't really make a good army at all. He knew that roy and the healers involved here would save many more lives.

He slams his Yari into the ground, planting it there to stick up. Drawing a magical circle around it, he begins the process to send it back from wherever he summoned it from. While he does this, he magically links himself with Mira and asks, "Hey Mira, are you and everyone over there alright?"

Ragnora lets the flame on her blade die. She's excellent at pacing herself, but through the long fight and the sheer effort in minimizing the casualties around her as much as possible, she almost falls. Keeping her stance steady and trying to recuperate her lost energy as she heads to her small team that she assembled, looking at the bodies of the fallen and closing her eyes for a moment. "We destroyed a great evil..." She says quietly to those survivors. Reaching down and picking up a wounded soldier to carry him back to town where the new members were warping in for healing. "That will be their legacy"

Mira on the other hand exerted everything she possibly had during the fight and is currently kneeling in the center of town. Her arms bleeding, drops of blood dripping down her fingers from the amount of runes she put out and not enough magic left to heal them. She put her tome away so as not to stain its pages, although it was enchanted against such things. It was something she preferred to avoid. She was playing the role of artillery mage and healer at the same time throughout the fight, keeping herself in the center of town to cover everything that she could. Her source crystal around her neck drained of its formidable pool of energy, she reaches out to Luex telepathically. "Yes... We suffered minimal casualties, but very few of them were the backline magi. I'm not sure how many we lost. But we managed. What of you, Luex? Are you alright?" She inquires, staying kneeling for a moment longer.

Luex responds to mira by saying "We lost a few up here, though thankfully most people are merely injured. The support given from back there helped immensely in keeping deaths low. I got a few scratches myself, but Me, Azin and a few other fighters cornered the demon in battle and slayed him."
His Yari disappears shortly, allowing him to get up and heading for where Mira is. Talking magically like this was very annoying to maintain.

Mira smiles a bit to herself, closing her eyes "That's a relief... I'm glad we could be of assistance" As she reaches into the pouch she keeps on her hip carefully, taking a roll of bandages soaked in an herbal remedy beforehand. Smearing a small amount of ointment over the wounds on her arm and bandaging them tightly. Feeling Luex moving towards her and waiting for him, performing some first aide to herself. "We've won another battle today, Luex"

Ragnora, meanwhile, sets down the wounded soldier she carried back on one of the makeshift stretchers so he can be attended to. Before taking a seat nearby and surveying the aftermath of the battlefield while she tries to locate those she had fought beside. Taking a quick breather as she waits to hear what they are doing next.

Royquin strolls out of the makeshift field hospital tent, satisfied that the initiates have the situation under control. He leans up against the wall of a building, taking out a cigarette and lighting it up. Silently watching the flow of the injured, he stays quiet, keeping his thoughts to himself as he takes puffs from his cigarette.

Rysha sits on the ground, her bloodied blade acting as a bit of an anchor for herself. She breathes a little heavily, bleeding from a wound she got from one of the vampires when he hit her in the head. She was also breathing heavily because she had never used so much mana before in such a short amount of time. Her body wasn't used to the toll it was now exacting on her. She laughs a little despite that. She was alive, and against all those pure bloods and that demon, she counted herself lucky. She slowly pulls herself to her feet, trying not to stagger from her fatigue as she slowly makes her way back towards the medics.

Ever since the fighting had begun, Arnes found herself quite preoccupied after the first injured came in through the medical tent. With the fighters and mages doing all they can do to stop the demon's merciless onslaught, it was up to the healers and medics to minimize the casualties and prevent as many deaths as they can.

In the end, with the joint efforts of the Astra Order, the Sect and the Shieldkeepers, everything went well. The demon has been slain, as with all of the vampires that it'd turned. Casualties had been minimal, though those whose lives have been lost will be remembered. And now, only the post-battle operation remain.

Within the tent, Arnes coordinates with the rest of the initiates; instructing them to bring in fresh supplies, surveying the wounded and treating patients that require immediate medical attention. Afterwards, there's the checking up of all of the patients' conditions, the packing up and...

It was at this moment that Rysha stumbled in, just as the medic finished applying bandages to a soldier's mended limbs. "... give it a week, and it'll be as good as new. Okay, next...!" Noticing a familiar face stumbling in, Arnes quickly stood up, helped the half-vampire up to her feet towards the makeshift bed and quickly assess her injuries. "Steady now, the fight is already over. Here, let me get you all healed and patched up."

Rysha nods her thanks to the medic. "Honestly all I think I need is some blood and I'll probably be fine. But a patch up sounds nice... also do you have anything for migraines? My head really hurts, and no, not just from the wound."

Luex comes up over to Mira, a bit relieved to see her unharmed. He ends the link and says softly "This wasn't a battle, this was a slaughter. We'll have to talk to Kassus about increasing ward strengths across erutios to make sure no more demons like this one cross over.."

"Oh, right... Well, there's plenty of spare blood packs lying around. I'll make sure to grab one for you." But first, treating her injuries and migraine comes first. Knowing that Rysha's a half-vampire and thus may be prone to holy-based magic, she'll have to do this the old way. And with what she's saying, her body possess a sort-of regenerative properties, so the focus would be to get her comfortable and up to her feet.

The medic nods, knowing that she could work with this. Motioning Rysha to take a seat, the medic's first action would be to clean up the blood on her head with a clean piece of cloth, followed by placing a simple band aid on the wound to momentarily stop the bleeding. Next, another band was placed specifically on her forehead, primarily to assist reducing her headache. "Here, take a sniff of this," she spoke, giving Rysha a small vial of lavender oil as additional treatment.

With all of that done, Arnes stood up, grabbed a pack of dark, red liquid from the storage and returned. "Will this be enough?" Arnes spoke, unsure of how much consumption she needs or if she requires blood from a more, direct source. This was the only thing that isn't within her field of expertise.

Rysha allows the medic to give her treatment and kinda sniffs at vial, trying hard not to sneeze. She takes the offered bag and nods a little. "This should be plenty. Um, a more direct source might help a little better, but this is fine, thanks." The way the medic hesitated told her she wasn't sure on how to treat vampires and didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

"All right. Glad to be of some help." She made a reminder to note this down and studying about giving aid to the undead when she had the chance, particularly vampires. Who knows, maybe she might need to assist more of her kind in the future, and depending on how severe the injuries will be...

But that's a thought for later, she suppose. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to come to us!" she gestures to herself and the rest of the medics there.

Rysha nods. "Thanks, I will." She pops the seal on the bag to start drinking it. "I might stay here a bit till my head isn't hurting as much anymore. Thanks for the help. Your name is Arnes, right?"

"Yeah! And you must be Rysha," as she said this, she began to clean up after her tools, in case there happens to be another batch of patients coming through. Though with how things are going so far, they're almost done for the day.

"It must be tough, being in the front lines..." she spoke to herself as she cleaned off the blood from the cloth in the water basin. Being able to bravely stare down at the oncoming attack and having the power to stop it, no matter how terrifying they are. In a way, she kind of respect and envy the ones who fought.

Azin comes up over to Roy, his armor stained in blood but his sword having been cleaned and sheathed. The tall juggernaut was tired from the long day of battle and leans against the wall near roy. He soon speaks and says, "So seems like we'll be going back home soon."

Royquin sighs as he drops the remains of the cigarette on the ground, stamping it out. "I doubt that we'll get peace and quiet for long..."

Mira tightens up her bandages on her arms, having finished them over the course of Luex finding her. Tying them tightly she nods her head. "Evil will spawn no matter how much we attempt to guard it... However, we could have responded sooner had we detected it. It is so difficult. When a creature of evil used to enter the world, especially one of such power, I could feel it. Now, however, there is no such fortune. I admit, I feel blinded some" She smiles a little bit, pushing herself carefully to her feet. Her legs rather wobbly beneath her initially although they seem to strengthen somewhat rather quickly, holding her steady. Though she had destroyed a good amount of the evils with her magics, she was feeling the toll now. "Luex... Do you have a source crystal? Mine is drained" She says, turning her small smile to him apologetically. "This lack of recovery... I haven't expended such magic since I've arrived. Its different, here" She admits, with a sigh.

Ragnora after observing and taking account of her group, making sure that Arnes is alright in particular, decides that this is enough. Her bloodstained regalia soon seems to almost clean the blood and grime off of itself, leaving it almost as clean as it was pre-battle. Having no wish to get in Arnes's way when there were many who were wounded more seriously than herself, decides to provide encouragement for those soldiers who are weary and tired. Bolstering their spirits with smiles and words of encouragement. Especially those who are wounded who could not be killed immediately. Even after battle, she carries herself almost exactly as she did before it. On the outside, there is no weariness or fatigue; in her voice and expression as she moves from group to group. More or less effectively killing time mingling with them. She does it well, somehow at their level while retaining her regal standing.

Luex nods and takes out a small crystal and hands it out to her. "Try to only siphon very little at a time. We shouldn't be expecting any need to use more magic for awhile." He says.

As more personnel arrive on site, and the situation normalizes, then eases, Royquin steps up to the center of the square, atop a pile of empty supply boxes.

"All persons of the emergency response and first reinforcement waves, come to the plaza for the return to the Boneyard. You've earned your rest for this evening."

'Ah. Looks like it's time to return', the medic noted as she finished cleaning up the last of her tools.

It only took her a few moments to pack everything up. "Are you ready to go?" she inquired Rysha, awaiting her before joining up with the rest of the group.

Rysha stands with a nod. "Yeah, I'm ready. Thanks again for the help." She heads out to join the others, the blood bag almost empty.

Mira nods her head, taking Luex's advise and skillfully taking the magic, getting the most of the smallest amount possible. Holding it in her hand as she walks to the Plaza. Ragnora, meanwhile, gathers up with everybody else. Searching for a moment before finding them, she takes a spot beside Arnes and Rysha with a small smile to them.

Royquin steps with them as they teleport, a blinding flash of light replacing the half-destroyed town before fading back to the familiar cobblestone courtyard of the Boneyard University.

It's been only a day, but it's felt like an eternity to most of the rookies.

"I need a fucking drink," Royquin mutters to himself as he strolls off, idly handing a stack of paper reports to Tankered.

The strange Sect man looks to the group after Royquin's departure. "...Good work, all of you. Head back for some sleep and rest... you've all earned it."

Rysha sighs as she heads to her quarters, finishing the blood bag and throwing it away as she goes. She flops on her bed, kinda groaning. She thought back to the strange vision she had on the battlefield and sighed a little, unsure what to think of it. She soon passed out from exhaustion.
