Dyna : She does these things all the time, take the helm! *fires off another burst of torpedoes, missing two and hitting one* *muffled curse*

Lia : *snickers then takes the helm*

Lia : You know actually maybe I'd be better shooting.

Dyna : Are you implying--

Lia : No I mean that I suck at piloting and you're better at it.

Dyna : Oh. Humph. *they quickly switch*

Rika : *hits the bulkhead as the ship gets hit when they're switching* OW! CAN YOU AT LEAST KEEP THE SHIP STRAIGHT?

Lia : Not driving, sorry!

Rika : WELL THEN WHO THE F--

Dyna : I am, now calm down and do whatever it is you're doing! Psst.

Lia : Huh?

Dyna : Hold on. *pulls the ship into a slow barrel roll*

*a muffled thump and curse erupt from the back*

Dyna : Hahaha!

Rika : You idiot, I almost had it! *slaps the generator in frustration*

*the generator hums and surges with energy*

Rika : That works too.

Dyna : *pushes the ship faster*

*the ship jumps forward with speed*

Rika : *sprints in then hits the comm button* Be advised Atlantis, we've restored power and are returning fir----

*the ship rocks with another mass accelerator hit, with the comm antenna shearing off along with a section of the hull*

Rika : WE'VE GOT A BREACH! STRAP IN!

*Dyna ignores and the ship plummets at a cruiser*

Lia : *straps in and pulls on her mask then continues firing*

Rika : Dyna, watch out for the cruiser!

*Dyna continues to ignore her*

Rika : DYNA!

*Dyna pitches from his chair, unconscious with wounds from fragments and decompression*

Rika : *hits the cockpit and cargo bay shield then jumps in the helm, pulling it from the collision at the last second*

(Puts on her mask O.o?)

Vox: We just lost quarians on comms. Their comm tower looks to be destroyed.

Sage: Quarians got hit bad, captain.

Cpt. Moors: *Ponders....*

Sage: Captain?

Cpt. Moors: ...

Sage: CAPTAIN!? They are not gonna survive another hit like that! If I don't help them now...

Cpt. Moors: ...

Sage: !?!?!?!?

Cot. Moors: Now. Fire the GARDIANs.

Sage: *Sighs* Aye, aye.

*GARDIANs fire, picking off geth fighters around the FNT*

Felix: What was that, Captain?

Cpt. Moors: A hard decision. I could have let them die, or escape pod off their ship back within our grasp.

Felix: But why?

Cpt. Moors: The council thinks they have more to tell than they have told.

Felix: You made the moral decision, captain.

Cpt. Moors: Yes... I wish we weren't shackled by the council...

Felix: But how did Shepard end up being such a hero and cooperating with the council?

Cpt. Moors: He was with Cerberus.

Felix: Right...

*Ship shudders with a blow*

Sage: What was that?

Vox: AAA(Alarm)AAA WARNING: ARMATURE CLASS GETH DETECTED IN CARGO AAAAAA.

Felix: Shit..

Cpt. Moors: Shit..

Felix: I'll take the specialists and the privates...

*Gathers Ciarra, Vitus, Pvt. White, and Pvt. Jones*

*On elevator*

Pvt. Jones: An armature? Without heavy weapons?

Felix: They aren't without weak spots.

Pvt. Jones: Still...

Felix: Remember.. go for the legs and neck.

*Door opens*

BOOM

*As dust clears, a smallish geth armature is standing in the cargo bay, and appears to have crashed through the now emergency sealed cargo doors*

Felix: Go, go, go!

*All of them rush out into the fire, nearly getting hit a few times.*

Ciarra: *Fires a blast of biotic energy at the armature and follows it up with a spray from her rifle*

Vitus: *Uses Ciarra's charge as a distraction to move up close behind some crates*

Pvt. White: It's charging!

*It fires, incinerating the crate that Jones and White are hiding behind*

Pvts. J and W: !!!

*They dash for cover, nearly getting hit*

Felix: *Unleashes a flurry of fire from his assault rifle, hitting the legs mostly*

Vitus: *Pops out of cover with a shotgun, and blasts the armature in the face*

Vitus: *Rolls beneath the armatures legs, taking out his knife and cutting two of the insides of the legs*

*The armature staggers back and kicks Vitus away*

Ciarra: RRAAGGHH *Fires another biotic blast, knocking out another leg*

Felix: Out of clips!

*Takes out pistol*

*Aims carefully... and fires at the armature's leg*

*It is a direct hit, and the armature collapses*

Vitus: Bastard *Blasts off its head with a blast from the shotgun*

Felix: *Sighs* We better get back up to the main deck...

Felix: PRIVATES!

Pvt. White: *Walks up, with a wound on his arm*

Pvt. White: Jones didn't make it. *Points Jones' body lying behind the crate*

Pvt. White: He got hit in the chest. *Goes over and closes Jones' eyes*

Felix: I'm sorry.

Felix: We better get moving...

*They get on elevator*

Rika : There's the Atlantis, or I'm assuming so...considering they just took out all the fighters tailing us.

Lia : Er...er...Dyna?

Rika : Tend to him, I have to keep this bucket flying.

Lia : Right. Although...

Rika : I may be better at first-aid than you, but I'm also a better pilot. Just take this, *hands her a medi-gel container*, and inject it into the red port on his armor.

Lia : What red port?

Rika : On his back, third vertebrae or whatever the krogan have.

Lia : Can this ship handle a barrel roll?

Rika : That's what I'm about to find out.

*throws the ship into a barrel roll*

Lia : Whhooaaaaaaa!

Rika : Whoops. Forgot the inertial compensators were out. *flips a switch*

*the shield around the cockpit area thrums with a spike in energy and the room repressurizes, along with gravity stabilizing*

Rika : Lia?

*injects the medi-gel with a soft hiss*

Lia : Hmm?

Rika : Stay away from the hole please. I have bad experiences with vacuum.

Lia : Oh alright.

*Lia gains Skill: +1 in: Medi-Gel Treatment*

Lia : The geth, they're turning and running!

*the geth fleet turns and enters FTL, disappearing and leaving the remains of the fleet behind*

Rika : Yes but at what cost...

*dozens of quarian frigates lie powerless or destroyed, with most being military, although a few civilian freighters were hit as well)

Rika : Contact the Neema.

Lia : Aye aye.

Rika : *pauses then shakes her head* I'm going to go check on Dynathor.

Lia : Ok.

*Rika exits the cockpit and goes to the medical bay*

Rika : Dyna, wake up you hard headed freak.

Dyna : Unngh...

Rika : Wake up! *slap* Now when I say put on your damned rebreather, you PUT ON YOUR DAMNED REBREATHER! UNDERSTAND?

Dyna : Yeah...wha?

Rika : Oh Dyna...*tuts a bit then guides him back to the cockpit*

Lia : Rika you've gotta hear this! *offers the mic*

Rika : *holds up the mic to her suits aural sensors*

*geth pulse rifle fire thuds distantly with the return of staccato quarian weapons fire and the occasional screech or scream by the geth or quarian*

Rika : *eyes widen* CONTACT THE ATLANTIS! TELL THEM THERE ARE GETH ONBOARD THE FLEET!

Lia : Right. Atlantis, come in, repeat come in! The geth are onboard the fleet repeat the geth are onboard the fleet!

Rika : *pulls the ship into a wide swoop that sends loose cargo tumbling and on a heading towards the Neema*

(I thought you said comm tower was knocked out. Just say theres a backup one)

*Specialists arrive on elevator*

Vox: Message recieved... there are geth onboard the migrant fleet.

Cpt. Moors: Send in the specialists onboard the quarian ship Neema. Felix, you lead.

Felix: Aye.

Ciarra: Right.

Vitus: Sir.

*Arrives from elevator 2*

???: Aye, aye. (New)

*Board shuttle, etc.. etc.. gear up*

Rika : Lia, switch on the far left, grey one.

Lia : Uh...this one? *back up comm pops into place* Oh.

Lia : Looks like the Geth fled so fast they forgot a few fighters.

Rika : Diverting power to engines...

Dynathor : But I wanted to shoot things...

Rika : Not now Dyna.

Dyna :

Rika : Oh you know what I mean!

Rika : Hang on, inertials won't compensate for this! *throws the ship into a 1080 that leaves a chasing geth fighter floating dead due to wind shear*

Lia : Never seen that move before...

Rika : *grunts then sets a course for the fighter bay dock on the Neema*

Dyna : It's called the Rika Slip, she used it to save my ass during a sortie turned bad in the Perseus Veil.

Lia : And...

Rika : It's less effective than the Rika Whirlwind--
Lia : The what?

Rika : What I did earlier with the flechettes.

Lia : Oh. Sorry, continue.

Rika : As I was saying, it's less effective than the Whirlwind but it's a lot easier to pull off.

Lia : Soo....

Dyna : Soooo!, the Whirlwind takes a bit to set up but packs a punch and the Slip is easier to pull off but doesn't kill as much. You talk too much.

Lia : Right. Sorry. *contacts the Atlantis*

Lia : We're on an intercept route with the Neema, going to dock at the hangar bay. You guys can use the normal docking port...

Rika : Sorrryy!! xD

Dyna : *rumbles in laughter as well*

Rika : Alright enough with the nonsense, suit up! *sets the ship on autopilot*

Rika : Alright, let's take the fight to the Geth! *swoops in to the fighter hangar bay*

Rika : *lowers the landing ramp* Go go go!

*Dyna and Lia rush out, guns a blazing*
*Dyna grunts as his armor takes a hit then dives for cover after snapping a return blast at the Geth prime*
*Lia dives into cover as well, firing the shotgun over her head*

Lia : Dyna, you ok?

Dyna : Yeah, just a flesh wound! *clutches his side a bit*

Rika : Yeah, it's just a flesh wound you wuss, keep firing!

Dyna : *grunts* I won't be out done by a little quarian just yet! *blasts the Prime apart with his claymore shotgun* That's for my liver!

Lia : -----Felix, do ---- read? Repeat, Lieutenant ---- --- you ---d?

Lia : Rika, we're being jammed!

Rika : I know! *fires at a geth stalker*

Dyna : Down in front!

Rika : What? *stands up and starts returning fire with the HWMA Master AR, hitting two lesser drones (the normals)*
Lia : Repeat, we're in the hangar now, trying to break through geth defences!

Dyna : I dunno, just played that human game Gears of War 2, and thought'd I feel badass saying it!
Lia : If you can disable the security alarms in the hangar bay, it would help a lot! There should be a security station a few rooms down after you enter!

Rika : I would facepalm right now, but I'm in the midd---*a storm of bullets cannon into her kinetic barriers, overloading them with a burst of static*
Lia : Watch for stalker----*stops transmitting and glances at Rika*

*Rika gasps and flinches*

Lia : Are you alright, Rika?!
Dyna : Rika!!

(I don't really give a crap about all the equipment and stats)

*Shuttle doors open*

Felix: Go!

*pew pew pew gunfight as they rush out of shuttle into cover*

???: *Shoots a grenade launcher round into the geth and kills a good third of them*

*Geth Prime approaches*

Ciarra: Prime! *Blasts it off its feet with a wave of biotic energy*

Felix: *Fires and kills 3 advancing geth*

Vitus: *Comes out from the side of some cover and jumps on the prime's back*

Vitus: *Cuts some wires in its neck*

*Prime throws Vitus off its back*

*Prime is about to fire at them all with a charged blast when it falls over dead from its wire damage*

Everyone: *Sigh*

Felix: *Gets the transmission*

Felix[radio]: Lia'Vael, we copy. We are advancing through the hangar to your side. Stay alive. *end transmission*

*pew pew pew more gunfight*

Also, you're not curious as to how Rika got Master Spectre gear, which is only available to Spectres?

I dunno, maybe because SHE'S A SPECTRE!? How else, she steal it? A quarian spectre is unlikely.

*Rika stumbles backwards, clutching her abdomen*

Lia: No!
Dyna: NO! *roars* YOU WILL NOT TAKE THE LITTLE ONE! *unloads a Carnage blast that vapes the Geth Destroyer that had shot her*

Lia: *sprints towards Rika* You're gonna be okay Rika, you're gonna be okay!

Lia: *hits her comm* This is Rika's team, Rika's been hit, repeat, Rika is down! *snaps comm off*

Dyna: *continues firing, taking hits but shrugging it off with his armor*

Lia: *reaches Rika and helps her up* Are you all right?

Rika : *stumbles a bit* No... * clutches her side then fires off a burst* but I'll be fine for now.

Lia: Dyna! Let's go!

Dyna: *roars in response, backing up to them*

Rika: We need to...*shakes head* We need to...*shakes head harder* We...There's a side entrance that leads to the security station.

Dyna: *keeps firing but grunts in acknowledgement*
Lia: Right. *nods* *hits comm* Felix, we're taking a shortcut, meet us at the primary security station, level 25, section 9X, we're on level 21, in section 4D. *snaps comm off*

Rika: No...no...not the primary...there'll be...geth swarming all over...we'll meet at the auxiliary in level 23...secti..section 8F. *slumps over*

Lia: Rika! *hits the comm again* Felix, addendum to last transmission, meet in auxiliary in level 23, section 8F, sensors read that you're on level 20, section 8F. *doesn't snap comm off in her hurry to get Rika to the doorway, spamming out any response (like a radio you know?)*

Lia: Dyna, we're gonna need cover!

Dyna: On it! *flips over a fuel tank canister carrier, thrusting the canisters towards the geth and firing at them*

Dyna: On three!

Lia: What?

Dyna: One!
Lia: Wait what?!

Dyna: Two!
Lia: Dyna, what are y--

Dyna: Three! Run! *grunts with effort as he uses his enormous strength to move the carrier as a moving shield*
Lia: Oh. Sorry Rika. *drags Rika while firing with her hands above the shield*

Dyna: Incoming! *pulls the two of them back from the dolly(the carrier/shield) as it lurches backwards with lethal force from a rocket trooper*
Lia: What th---Thanks.

Dyna: Yeah.

Lia: Alright, we gotta find a...a....*stares at the corridor, which is strewn with corpses of quarians and geth alike*

Dyna: *grunts as he pulls the door shut then turns around* Wow. You quarians sure can put up a fight.
Lia: This is...this is....

Rika: Terrible. I know. *Flashback time?! (You decide)*

Rika paused as the sight in the hallway overwhelmed her and the memories came flooding back...

Rika's boots pounded on the matte black floor as Norya, Fand, and Tuf followed her closely, along with Raphael, Wendil, and Ashra. They skidded to a stop at the corner as pulse fire and shouts of quarians began to drift from the back. Tears flooded her eyes as she knew what had happened to the people that did not make it in time. The others stopped, panting and trying to regain their breath.

Rika: C'mon, we have to get out of here before the geth come, they're going to finish with the others soon and then they'll start searching.

Ashra broke down crying, remembering her parents pushing her into the doorway at the last second and telling her to trust and follow Rika. Wendil and Raphael both clutched their aching sides, as they were not as fit as the special forces team was. Rika asked, "Anyone have their weapons?"

Norya and Fand both shook their heads and held out their empty hands, but Tuf pulled out his side arm and his combat plasma cutter (future knife idk)

Rika: Ashra, we have to go, I know you're really sad right now and you should be but your parents gave their lives so that you could escape. Now c'mon.

Ashra starts to stop and then stands up. "Let's get out of here," she said in a diminutive voice.

The group stealthily moves across the facility, treading carefully and making sure to keep quiet. But after turning a corner, they were met with a scene of utter devastation. Blood smears the walls and quarian corpses lay lined in piles. Geth troops sweep through, making sure all of the bodies are dead, firing into those that twitched when jabbed. Ashra let out a small cry of fear and disgust, to which the Geth detected, analyzed and looked at the now frozen group. Their pulse rifles snap up and fire a burst of rounds that hit Raphael and Wendil, who both go down immediately, though Raphael with a horrible gurgling and Wendil with an agonized scream. Ashra cries out and runs in the opposite direction, while Tuf fires his pistol and yells, "Run back the other way!"

Norya and Fand immediately backpedal and retrace their steps, entering a small service hatchway, while Rika blasts away with her outdated Avenger rifle, which does almost nothing to the near impenetrable geth shields. Tuf's pistol, on the other hand, wreaks havoc on their shielding with its larger slugs. A smattering of rounds beats a tattoo on Rika's armor, who grunts and falls backwards. Tuf yells out with rage and sprints to pull her back, while Norya and Fand cry out with fear for their comrade. Ashra, who has been running back to the atrium in which the slaughter began the entire time, slams into an invisible wall. Ashra whimpers with fear as a Geth Hunter's cloaking stutters and fails, revealistence. It turns its lightbulb head towards her and points its arm at her.

Rika, in a haze of pain, manages to hit the Geth who shot her with a burst that downs its shields and strikes it square in the chest while being dragged towards the service entrance. Tuf pauses to catch his breath as she was no light weight, but Fand and Norya both hitch one of Rika's arms over their shoulders and continue to drag her while Tuf screens the back. A shotgun blast and a horrifying screech of terror, pain, and agony rips through the corridor.

Rika shakes her head and slumps against the wall, overwhelmed with the sudden influx of memories and emotions.

Dyna notices and sets a hand on her shoulder, "We can take a detour if yo-"

Rika shakes him off and rises clutching her shoulder, "No, let's just get to the security station."

*The group walks into the corridor just outside security station, with Rika stumbling a bit*

Lia : Are you sure you're alright Rika, you don't need any more medi-gel?

Rika : You've given me two times the maximum dose, I won't be surprised if I die of an overdose instead...

Dyna : Ha! There is no such thing as too much.

Lia : On the contrary, you CAN have too much of something, like ammo or suppli---

Rika : Lia...*sighs* joke.

Lia : Oh. Got it. *grins a bit but shifts back to concern as Rika winces* You'r--

Rika : Yes I'm fine!

Dyna : No need to yell, we don't know if the station is secure...

*gunfire suddenly erupts ahead, as well as the synthetic screeching of the geth troopers*

Lia : What the- *jerks backward slightly*
Dyna : *looks at Rika* Rika?
Rika : *glances up sharply then nods at Dyna's unspoken question* Go, I'll catch up!

Dyna : C'mon Lia, looks like there might still be some quarians alive on this ship. *charges ahead*

Lia : R...right! *runs after Dyna*

Rika : *slumps quietly against the wall as the pain starts to become unbearable*

Dyna : RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! *kicks in the door in his Krogan bloodlust*

Lia : Eep! *still not used to his fury*

Dyna : *rushes in, firing gigantic blasts that would quickly overheat a normal gun if not for his heat sink modifications*

Lia : *also rushes in, taking aim carefully and shooting with deadly accuracy with her pistol*

*the cries of shock fill the air, as the geth glance at the new threat and re-focus their fire from the quarians in cover*

Rika : *cocks head, as one of the voices strikes a familiar chord in her memory, before nodding off into unconsciousness*

(note there's only one entrance and exit, the corridor they entered in)

(Comms): Rika'Torris! Lia'Vael! Any of you! *Gunfire* This is Felix, we are being held back by additional geth, including a juggernaut. We will be with you soon. *Explosion*

*Gunfire*

*Comms off*

Felix: Damn it, the juggernaut is too close!

???: RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! *Fires a rocket into the juggernaut, blasting it backwards* (Yes, it is a krogan, I will explain later.)

*Felix hits it with a full clip from his rifle, killing it*

*Geth drones enter the room*

Ciarra: Drones! *Hits 2 of them with some SMG shots, then retreats to cover from some fire hitting her shields*

*Vitus comes out of cover and blasts the rest of the drones away with his shotgun*

Geth Rocket Trooper: *Stuttering geth language*

*Fires a rocket, hitting the wall near Vitus*

*The blast throws Vitus backwards*

Vitus: AH! *Throws his knife into the rocket trooper's neck*

Felix: Vitus!

*Gunfire*

???: BASTARDS! *Fires a rocket into a crowd of geth, and Felix and Ciarra follow with full clips from their weapons, eliminating the last of the geth*

Ciarra: That should be it.... Vitus!

Vitus: Ack....

Felix: Try this *Applies medi gel.*

Vitus: *Inhales* *Cough* Ahem.... I'll be fine for now. I'm gonna need to get permanent help though. But the mission comes first.

Felix: Right, we should look for survivors. Head into that room up ahead.

---A geth slowly walks forward---

*muffled gunfire comes from the compartment to the right of Rika*

---Its pacing fluid and confident, it holds its pulse rifle nonchalantly---

*more muffled gunfire from the compartment to the left of Rika*

---It comes to a halt, noting the weak thermals emanating from the previously thought corpse---

*an explosion rocks the deck slightly, with the force of a small grenade*

---Cocking its head at the slumped quarian, its processors and many platforms inside it convene what to do about it---

*Rika begins to regain consciousness*

---The geth activates its rifle, noting the increased rate of circulation and respiration in the quarian---

*Rika stirs a little, struggling to open her eyes; her limbs are curiously immobile, as if they were stuck in duranium*

---The many platforms that are inside this geth convene that the quarian is a threat and must be neutralized---

---It paces forward until it is in front of the quarian and places the barrel in quarian's faceplate---

*The geth falls over dead from a bullet in the neck*

*Fenix is standing in the doorway where Rika's group came in with his gun still aimed at the geth*

Felix: *Exhales* Good timing.

*Vitus appears behind him*

Vitus: Nice shot.

Felix: Where are the others?

Vitus: Mopping up.

Felix: Rika, are you okay? Where did the others go?

Rika: *glances up at the group that burst in* *shakes head* I think...I think they went in the security room. *nods at the room up ahead, while another detonation rocks the deck*

Rika: *tries to stand up but stumbles backwards against the wall*

Rika: I don't think I can make it yet...Just go on, I'll catch up, they'll need your help more...

As in response to her words, more gunfire and screeches erupt, along with Dyna's roar of pain and Lia's squeak of terror.

Felix: Motions for Vitus to come

Felix: The rest of my team will be here in a moment to help you. They have more medi-gel.

Felix: Notices Rika's spectre gear but decides not to question it right now

More noises can be heard from the security room

Vitus: Doesn't sound like they want to be waiting for us.

Felix: Clears his mind Right.

Both of them immediately leave for the security station.

Ciarra and the krogan emerge a minute or two later into the room. (I am gonna use italic for actions now.)

*gunfire erupts from room and the control panel Lia is taking cover behind withers under the inferno unleashed by a Geth Destroyer's flamethrower*

Lia: Dyna! You better take care of that Destroyer quick!

Dyna: *rumbles* I'm a little busy at the moment! *tackles a Geth Shock Trooper as the Shock Trooper's Carnage sears into Dyna's Fortification Armor, doing moderate damage while causing pain* Damnit!

Lia: They must be pulling out all the stops...*fires a burst of rounds from Rika's Tempest submachine gun*...they're using models from 2 years ago at least...

Dyna: Yeah well it still can do some damage! *brings his fists down onto its eerily shaped light-bulb head, crushing it into a twisted hulk of metal* Ha! One for Rika!

Lia: *sprints and rolls behind a desk as the control panel melts, while grabbing a sniper from the fallen Quarian's hands and fires, hitting the Destroyer's gas tank, making it erupt in flames* Dyna! Heads up! Flaming Destroyer running around!

*the destroyer flails around, landing a glancing blow on Lia, who stumbles back as the flames catch on her shields*

Lia: What the---AUUUGGHH! My shields are on fire! How in the hell? *drops and thrashes on the deck, trying desperately to put it out*

Dyna: They're using magnesium ferrous oxide! It catches on pretty much anything and starts eating through it! *glances around for fire control units*

Lia: Never mind! I'll put it out myself! Keep the geth off me! *drops to the floor and rolls to put out the flames* (lol at the image of a rolling quarian) Lia has gained the ability to wield sniper rifles

Dyna: *rumbles an affirmative and blasts apart more Geth Troopers*

Lia is a newfound crackshot with sniper rifle; a true artist, she can place a round in any weak point of any armor

Dyna: Where the hell are Felix and his men!?
