| RP ish idea. Would be in a past RP, unless it is the depleted future era.
Pretty much an era like steampunk. Technology is in its adolescence, modernization is just starting to lift off, muskets and flintlocks are being used, but designs for high tech machine guns are in progress. Clockwork technology is in progress. The airplane has not been created yet, and airships and blimps and maybe primitive helicopters rule the skies. Magic is present, though used far less than the new substance of gunpowder, dynamite, TNT, and black powder. Primitive destroyer and bombardment ships are being made. Not quite WW1 ships, but not quite old fashioned wood ships. Cities start to take root, urbanizing areas. Steam driven cars and trains may exist.
You get the idea.

| IDEA:
In the future, when man has not yet left earth, its resources became depleted. At least the ones we knew. Coal and oil ran out, and steel and iron could not be produced. A new metal, which looked similar to bronze and copper, nearly as hard as steel, was developed, and replaced them.
A new resource (choose...) has been discovered, and in enourmous quantities, but it houses scarcely half of the energy of what coal could store, but it is in four times the quantity that coal was ever in.
Jet fuel and plane fuel is in limited quantity, and it takes a lot of the new resource to create it. Airships are being used now, for their low fuel usage, and ability to run on nothing but wind for days.
Steam technology and Tesla technology have been advanced, and have found to be useful, more efficient than the old ways.
(This era is also called steampunk)

| TIBERIUM. HA. No, tiberium is too advanced and... toxic and addictive and all that shit. no offense.
Idk what it will be, some kind of new metal or mineral that is somewhat like coal, but in huge quantities. Might also be a natural liquidor something, for the burning into steam.
There's a game with a resource that is simply called "source" gained from source wells. Source was used in the game as building material, ammunition, and fuel.

Who else than my blademaster char? If he lived to be in the future RPs, he'll definately be in the steam age. Anyways... Nuclear power plants? No. Too advanced, this is the steam age, not modern times. Anyways, this idea's an epic one! Nice job atomic! Now then...posting mah faction for this era.

| New metal...titanium?
It IS the ninth most abundant metal on Earth... I suppose that also applies to most relms as well.
(Since magic is still used, relm-traveling is still possible)

| The real name of that era is the Victorian era, in the late 1800s and early 1900s. | |

I'd like to also point out if Nuclear power plants were in use than nobody would be using shit from the Steam age anymore.

| Exactly. Can't we just make this the imperial age or something because that's pretty much what it is...and it's a lot easier to comprehend than "steampunk". | |
